A photographer and photography teacher, he was born in Venice where he began his profession as a photographer in his twenties; an intense collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum in Venice for which he photographed works of art, architecture and artistic events dates back to those years.
After moving to Milan, he began to take portraits of personalities from the worlds of cinema, culture and show business, and he was published in major national and international magazines (Amica, Io Donna, Max, Sette, Il Venerdì, Glamour, Panorama, Studio, Première, Madame Figaro, Photo).
He has been working for 20 years with the monthly film magazine Ciak portraying international celebrities at the most important film festivals and he has done fashion and lifestyle photo shoots for many years for the magazine Dove.
As for the advertising field, in 2017 he worked for Huawei as an art director and a photographer, and he realised the #faccehuawei campaign and the multimedia exhibition for the launch of the P10 and P10 Plus smartphones. Previously, in 2010, he was brand ambassador for Samsung for the NX100 mirrorless cameras.
His work was shown in the exhibition La Fabbrica dell’Arte at the 50th Venice Art Biennale, and he presented his portraits of celebrities at various venues in recent years.
In 2014 and 2016 he won the first prize at the Venice Movie Stars Photography Award, a competition reserved for photographers at the Venice Film Festival.
He has collaborated for 15 years with the magazine Ciak in Mostra, the official daily paper of the Venice Film Festival, in the role of photoeditor. Between 2006 and 2007, he participated in the restyling of the daily paper of the city of Monza Il Cittadino.
He has been a teacher at Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan since 1993.
